Recipients Announced for the 2009 NEA/Baltimore City Job Retention Grant

Mayor Sheila Dixon and the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA) announce the recipients of the National Endowment for the Arts/Baltimore City Job Retention Grant.

Made possible by a $250,000 award from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and matched by Mayor Sheila Dixon and the Baltimore City Council, the grant program has been created for the cultural community to assist in job retention efforts.

The following organizations received funding through the NEA/Baltimore City Job Retention Grant, which was funded by the Obama Administration's Stimulus Package through the National Endowment for the Arts and Baltimore City to help strengthen and support Baltimore's growing cultural community. The grant support allowed BOPA to award 58 grants ranging from $1,500 to $15,000 to be used to support full-time, part-time or contractual positions in the arts.
