Associated Builders and Contractors Recognizes MacKenzie Contracting Co.

The Baltimore Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) has awarded MacKenzie Contracting Company, LLC its seventh consecutive award for safety excellence. The industry award recognizes the company, a full-service general contracting and construction management firm, for outstanding safety performance and an ongoing commitment to provide healthy work environments for their employees.

"We were thrilled to be recognized by ABC again this year," said Marty Copsey, President and COO of MacKenzie Contracting Company.

Copsey attributes MacKenzie's ability to provide competitive bids and guarantee deadlines in part to its longstanding safety record.

"Accidents cost time and money, so safety is a top priority for us," he said.

The Towson-based construction firm strives for "no accidents" annually and implements strenuous MOSH/OSHA approved training, personal protection equipment regulations, and frequent safety inspections on its job sites. In addition, MacKenzie Contracting Company is a drug and alcohol free workplace and assigns a full-time, on-site superintendent for each project to assure that quality control, safety, and schedule are maintained.
