). Rudina Seseri, Principal at Fairhaven Capital, and Joe Medved, Partner at Softbank Capital, were included in the BBJ list of "business and civic leaders who collectively represent the next wave of talent and commitment in the Boston economy."

BBJ judges reviewed more than 500 nominations, evaluating professional accomplishments and community involvement.

Seseri, NEVN's co-chair, and Medved, NEVN's chairman emeritus and a current member of the organization's steering committee, have both played central roles in directing NEVN's charter of fostering community and relationships and organizing events for the 11-year-old nonprofit organization.

A nonprofit organization open to qualified members of the venture capital industry from more than 100 of the area's leading firms, NEVN serves as a community where young venture capital professionals can network and further their careers. NEVN also helps promote and support other local nonprofit organizations including Boston Medical Center, Interise, Guard Support, Greater Boston Food Bank, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Guidance Center and United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley.

"The commitment to NEVN that Rudina and Joe are just a small part of their dedication to the Boston business community," said Yumin Choi, a Senior Associate at HLM Venture Partners and NEVN co-chair. "Their inclusion in the '40 Under 40' acknowledges the impact of their contributions. We continue to expect great things from them in the future."
